What Are The Disadvantages of Using Walsin Chip Capacitors?

Originally known as the condensers, the Walsin chip capacitors are one of the passive electrical components that is used for storing the energy electrostatically in any of the electric fields. The types, as well as the form of the capacitor, varies widely from one component to the next.

However, each of them contains at least two different types of electrical conductors. The dielectric of the capacitor can be made of plastic, ceramic, paper, air and mica. The capacitors are one of the most important components that are used as one of the most important parts of the electrical circuits.

While the capacitors are no doubt one of the most important components of any electrical circuits, there are some disadvantages of using these capacitors as well. Check the following section of this article to know more.

● Most of the non-solid capacitors are polarized. That Is why the capacitors are needed to be installed in such a way that the positive lead of the capacitor should always belong to a higher voltage.

● Sometimes, these capacitors tend to dry out. A proper capacitor should last for a long time. However, there might be some bad batches where the electrolytic capacitors can break down over time making the capacitance drop to fractions.

● Another disadvantage of using the capacitors is that they can go boom at any point in time. Plugging the capacitor in the wrong way can make it go boom within mere seconds.

● Most of the time, the capacitors are not useful in the RF filtering devices. In such circuits, capacitors do not work in the right way. However, they can work well in the power supplies and the DC power filtering circuits.

Now that you are aware of the disadvantages of using the capacitors, it will be easier for you to decide whether you should use one in your circuit or not.
